As you may have guessed, traveling and photography are two things I really like. In the hope that other people may find my photography enjoyable or even inspiring, I have built this page.

Nobody disputes that nature is beautiful and full of aesthetics. Photography is a great way of combining this beauty with creativity. And it is a unique interplay between creativity and physics, which, by the laws of optics, dictates what is possible and what is not. And physics, which is a lot about symmetry, is just another way of looking at our world and reveals the beauty of nature in every aspect. (I must admit that some people do dispute this.)

At academic high school, my math and physics teacher once had to answer the question of what mathematics was good for and why it was worth struggling with. He would just answer: "Mathematics is beautiful. This is reason enough."

Despite the fact tht I have been working for the financial industry for almost twenty years now, the things I might have a reason to be proud of date back to my physics days. This is why I couldn't do without including a list of publications.
